As a Tulum wedding photographer based in Cancun, I have spent nearly 20 years capturing love stories across the Riviera Maya, and Tulum holds a special place in my heart. From sacred cenote ceremonies at Vesica to intimate elopements at Our Habitas, I know how to find the light, the angles, and the moments that make your day unforgettable.

My name is Tam, and I am the photographer behind Tam Rico Photo. I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, and I bring that openness and empathy to every couple I work with. Whether you are a same-sex couple, a straight couple, or anything in between, my goal is the same: to make you feel completely comfortable, seen, and free to be yourselves. Tulum is about two hours south of Cancun along the Riviera Maya coast. I am based in Cancun and travel to Tulum regularly for weddings, elopements, and proposals. For wedding coverage, travel is included in your package.

Tulum has some of the most unique wedding venues in Mexico. Vesica is a stunning cenote venue surrounded by jungle, perfect for couples who want something truly different. Our Habitas is a luxury glamping resort with incredible natural architecture. Other popular options include beach clubs along the Tulum coast and private villas in the jungle. I can help you choose the right venue based on your vision and guest count.

Absolutely. As a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I do not just welcome same-sex couples, I truly understand what it means to celebrate your love authentically. Same-sex marriage is legal in Quintana Roo, and Tulum is one of the most welcoming destinations in Mexico for LGBTQ+ couples. You will never have to explain yourselves or manage my comfort. You just get to be in love..

I would describe my style as photojournalistic with a cinematic touch. I capture real moments as they happen, with gentle guidance when needed. No stiff poses or forced smiles. My goal is for your photos to feel like you, natural, emotional, and timeless.

Yes. I cover half of the resort vendor fee, up to a maximum of $500 USD, on any wedding collection of 3 hours or more. This means one less thing to worry about on your wedding day. Not many photographers offer this, and it is one of the ways I make sure the process feels stress-free from start to finish.

When looking for a photographer in a foreign country, it can be scary but I was looking for an LGBTQ friendly photographer and was recommended to Tam. And I’m so glad!!
