Hi, I’m Tam, an LGBTQ wedding photographer in Cancun and the heart behind Tam Rico Photo (formerly Tamara Rico Photography). For 18 years, I’ve been capturing authentic love stories across the Riviera Maya, and my passion for photography only grows deeper with time. For me, photography isn’t just a job—it’s how I connect, tell stories, and celebrate the beauty in each person’s unique journey.
Tam Rico Photo is also a family affair. I’m lucky to work alongside my incredible sister, Citlalli Rico. She’s not only a brilliant photographer but one of the kindest, most grounded people I know. Together, we bring a shared vision and deep connection to every session, creating a relaxed, collaborative experience that feels more like hanging out with friends than a formal photo shoot.

Outside of photography, I’m a joyful soul who loves the ocean, the jungle, and animals of all kinds. I’m a proud rescue mom to five cats and two dogs, and the proud mom of a wonderful 18-year-old human. I’m also recently married to the love of my life, Evamaris, and together we dream of building a self-sustainable life off the grid someday.

Not only do we have experience working with couples in love, fun families and stunning weddings, but we create personal connections with our clients, and many times we are each others best friend for the day. I am not kidding, I’m extremely good at boosting peoples morales, and believe me, many times that’s exactly what people need.
